Feeder Conduits from Generator Replacement
Jefco Electric’s Scope of Work
Our primary goal was to not only repair the damage but to implement a long-term preventative solution to withstand future ground shifts. The project scope included:
System De-energization and Wire Extraction: Safely isolating and de-energizing the generator feeder system. This required carefully pulling all existing wiring out of the damaged conduit system to prevent further damage during the structural repair.
Structural Conduit Repair: Removing the broken sections of the feeder conduits.
Preventative Installation: Installing specialized expansion joints at the necessary points. These joints are critical to dampen and absorb future movement from soil settlement, preventing a recurrence of breakage.
Wiring Reinstallation: Meticulously pulling all previously extracted wiring back into the newly repaired conduit setup.
System Testing and Re-energization: Testing the system integrity and re-energizing the feeder to confirm reliable, secure operation.
